Just had lunch with my wife here.
We both had Pho, chicken for my wife, and sliced beef and brisket for myself, with some fried spring rolls as entree.
The spring rolls were delicious, and clearly came from fresh oil.
Both Pho dishes were brilliant. As good as anything I have had in Vietnam. And served in monstrous bowls. At least a litre of soup, heaps of noodles, and a good serve of meat. A good assortment of condiments available too.
Coming in at under $30 I thought it was a good value lunch. And I will definitely return. -

Pho is no ritzy food item and should be eaten in a no frills eatery just like Gia Vien. No fancy fusion food or decor. Gia Vien is a relatively small restaurant, narrow with tables of twos and fours.
The menu is really extensive, lots to choose from.
The pho was delicious, very nice broth. I don't usually take much interest in the broth but by the end of the meal I was lifting the bowl up to my face. The noodles were cooked nicely and the meat was very soft and tender.
Verdict - will be back, if I can get past their pho, I'm hoping to try other dishes -

This place offers very delicious food and a huge variety to chose from. The service needs to be be improved since the staff is not very friendly.

Better than its previous incarnation but still not up to Bankstown or Cabramatta standards but it's the best Vietnamese in the suburb

Came here for a quick bite. Ordered Bun Dac Biet and Rare Beef and meatball Pho.
The Bun Dac Biet us very nice. Spring rolls pork chop and the sauce are nice. That ssid there is room for improvement in the fish sauce and satay chili department .
Rare beef and meatball Pho is also as expected. The beef stock is aromatic enough however the rice noodle is a bit too soft to our liking.
